Yeah thats a photochop. You can tell from the chessy "Trans Am" written on the front bumper. Both it and the one on the side have the exact same shade and 0 lighting effects unlike the rest of the car. Sadly it's just a photoshopped camaro, but the camaro is gonna be hot anyways.

The Trans Am was always cooler than the Camaro IMO - especailly in the late 70's/early 80's. So I think that chopped version looks better than the prototype Camaro we've been seeing.
All that chop is missing is some T-tops and Burt Reynolds [8D]

Challenger is still a "Pipe Dream"They cant sell enough SRT8's or Hemi Chargers....to heavy and slow.If they build challenger,it will be on the same"over weight tank platform".Benz loves to build big heavy cars.Idont see Benz trying to shave 1000-1200lbs of these cars. The Trans Am looks like the frig'n Batmobile.

I dunno, but in my opinion if they DO actually build the camaro, I think it would be almost stupid not to offer a nearly identical transam...even if a 'shelby like limited edition' for the price of front/rear fascias it gives buyers another choice...I do honestly think though if GM really intends to sell >100k annually, they better figure out how to get the thing to base around 20k like the v6 mustang. if they bring it in at 35k+ and 400+hp only, I doubt if they'll push over 30k a year out...gas getting too high, too much competition from a well proven(by then) mustang design thats still affordable...I think daimler might be in the same boat with the challenger. volume makes the money. I got a really bad feeling with all the new hotrods coming out our insurance rates are gonna start spiralling out of control too... this stuff happened before and cars like vega/pinto was the result.

A GM is a GM. If someone wants a TransAm like that, why not just buy the new Camaro and swap the front. A Firebird body kit produced by GM interchangable with the Camaro parts would be more cost efficient than producing another car altogether. Then it could be a dealer option making money on parts plus install.
Thought about it a little...if the parts were installed at the factory rather than dealerships, it would probably sell more cars for GM by not taking customers from the Pontiac lots to see the Camaro/Firebird at Chevy.
side note: I like the look of that Firebird better than the new Camaro.
