Yeah, what ever happened to this guy??
Yeah, what ever happened to this guy??
I emailed Kzinti a month or two ago- he's still there, still enjoying his (wifes) legend lime GT...
Ford seems to have given in a little bit- theres a guy over at blueoval that goes by 'Viper pilot' and a few others doing tracking, plus Ford musta heard enough bitching they did fix things a little bit- a new thing last year called 'dealer visibility' or 'vehicle visibility' or something like that allows dealer acces to some of the info Kzinti was sharing- but its dealer only.
From what Ive heard the ERL has been changed so it requires some kind of verification- no more secret phone number to sneak info from- that really kinda sucks IMO as it was a freaking automated system that cost them NOTHING to allow customers to call in their order info. I guess dealers insist on being the ONLY official way to get info out of Ford to customers...still amazes me UPS can track a $1 envelope anywhere in the world and Ford cant tell a customer where a $30,000 order stands...oh well, vehicle visibility is a tiny step in the right direction, but we'll see what happens when the next new mustang comes out- if theres a rush like 2005, theres gonna be a lot more folks upset with dealers- but maybe now some of the better dealers can at least get slightly better info...if they will take the time to do so on a sale thats already made.
Anyone that never voted in the poll over at blueoval- please do- especially the one about sold order priority- dealer allocation HAS GOT to quit cutting into retail (sold orders)scheduling someday. maybe with enough squeaky wheels something might change. http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums...p?showtopic=51
