RE: Saleen short throw shifter ...Good or so-so?
The people who I have talked to swear by it. For its price compared to a full shifter they say the got a good value. The stock shift feels pretty good IMO I haven't missed any shifts in it, but I dont drag race at the strip. I will probally go with an aftermarket shifter though, thats my preference.

yep i like it.
hurst or steeda is better im sure, but it gets the job done, its easy and its cheap, cant beat it.
(shifting is a little clunky...my only complaint....it doesnt bother me at all, but when others drive my car (very rare) they complain)

I have it, it's butter smooth and feels stock, but better with a more positive feel when putting it into gear. I have no clunk at all, just a pleasant "click" when it goes into gear, I'll swear by it, best mod I've put on it besides my tune and CAI.

I have the Steeda, and I have no complaints at all. I never miss a shift and it's very smooth. It's a tough call though, I doubt there are many people out there that have used them all.

I love my saleen. If you really want to make it close to the B&M or hurst feel, get the short throw kit from saleen, then get the new bushing kit from steeda. Total investment - $60 and about an hour and a half - Best bang for the buck you will find.
