Widest Tires, how wide did you go without problems?
i am getting a set of 20' x 10' (rear) and 20' x 8-9' (front) and want to put 295/45/r20 on the rear and 255/35z/r20 on the front. these are bf goodrich kdws.
So what im asking... can i put a 9' wide rim on the front tire? of do i have to stick with my 8.5'??? Can i fit a 295/45 on the back? and can i fit a 255/35z on the front?
If you could post up your tire size and suspension and if you have had any problems with your setup that would be awesome.
Thanks for any help

I'm starting to look into this as well. I see the Saleen PJE has 19x9" fronts, Steeda has a 18x9.5" front, and Roush has 18x9 and 10" fronts. I know Steeda is running a 275 on all four corners on their yellow road racer, but they are slightly smaller diameter than stock which might help prevent rub when turning. Livernois is also running 275 on 19s in front. 285 seems to be no problem at all in the back. But without more offset info it's tough to judge what's possible based of what's been done.
What I'd like to see is:
1) Wheel diameter and width
2) Wheel offset
3) Tire size
4) Distance from sidewall at widest point to plumline off inside fender lip (use negative number if tire sticks out).
5) Suspension
6) Any and all interference issues no matter how small
I already created a chart based off MustangTuning's 18x10 Bullits to determine an "allowance", but more data would be nice.

Yes 9" is fine in the front, 10" 295-45-20 are probably a little to big. I would suggest going 295-35-20. You will need to adjust the spedo regardless but 45 with 20' rims are a tad to big IMO.

I put 20 x 11.5 with 305/25/20's on the rear and 20 x 10 with 275/30/20 on the front. Everything fit's nicely and I haven't had any rubbing problems so far. I was worried that the ride would be a little rough, but I like it so far. I can post some pics tomorrow if anyone is interested.

yes please on the pictures.
the only reason i want the 295/45 on the rear is because they dont make a smaller sidewall in that tread pattern - but since bpgreen put 305s on the back that opens up a few doors i didnt think were possible. Im going to go and reference the KDW size chart and see what i can do.
Thanks for the responces!

I'm not riding stock. We installed KW v3 coilovers, replaced the control arms, sway bars, panhard, installed a panhard brace, etc. I'm not sure exacltly how much the car is lowered, but it's lowered. I'm working on the pics right now.
