No hood scoops generate any type of real ram air effect unless they are very large and you are moving at 100+ mph.

Its the cold air that makes the difference. But a CAI accomplishes that pretty well. As does the stock system for that matter. It draws nice cool air from the grill.

I know that the aftermarket CAI's make power. But alot of that is from the tune taking advantage of 93 octane fuel.
