Fuel gauge stuck at 5/8 all the time
So my fuel gauge has been acting up a bit lately. I want to believe that I have some magical gas tank that stays 5/8 full all the time, but I also don't want to run it down to E in the middle of the road. It gets stuck like this for a while then goes back to normal for a while ("a while" being anything from a few days to a few weeks), so I think if I take it to the dealer it will magically "fix" itself until I leave, then go back to being broken again. It's starting to make me crazy because I never remember what day I went to the gas station last.
Anyone else have this problem?? What fixed it? I foumd this TSB for an "erratic fuel gauge reading" but I'm not sure if it applies:

Any advice is good, thanks.

Yeah I just wasn't sure what what they meant by "erratic fuel gauge." Mine just kind of stays in the same place....wouldnt really call it erratic.

Mine will fall shortly after startup. Then it will go back up to normal within a few seconds. It has done this three or four times since i've had it which has been a couple of months. I figured i would wait for my first service appointment then tell them about it.
