Need to do something about the tilt wheel adjuster

Need to do something about the tilt wheel adjuster
The ONE thing about my Mustang that really annoys me is the adjuster for the tilt wheel. It's pointy, jagged, and it's RIGHT in the path of my knee. Getting in and out of the car is sort of a contortion act to avoid slamming my knee on the thing, and the times I do, it is like hitting a funny bone. Tho it's not funny, it just hurts.
I haven't had a chance to really get under there and take a look, but is there anything stopping me from just taking the black adjuster handle off? I tried to pull it off but it didn't seem to wanna do that, I'm not sure if it's glued to the lever or what.

Not sure dude, but how close are you sitting to the wheel? I haven't come close to touching it yet. I'd maybe give it a twist to see if it unscrews, that'd be my first thought. Outside of that you may want to see if you can get the disassembly info for that part of the car, may explain in there if/how it comes out.

Yeah I 2nd Cowtown's question. I'm a big guy and I don't come anywhere near it. Maybe you need to raid the wheel in the first place and adjust your seat position for it a bit.

Vertically challenged ppl need to power the seat back when they exit, and power it forward upon entering / beginning to drive.
You paid for it , so use it.
I see ur problem, but, don't feel the pain.
Give this suggestion a try.

I'm fairly short so I keep the seat up high and a bit forward. Adjusting the seat all the time is a bit of a pain, I can never really get it back where it was.
I'm going to examine the assembly today and see if there's a way to remove the handle, but I want to be sure I can put it back on later. The C4 idea won't really meet that requirement. ^^

I hope you never need ur side airbags.
Just going back and forth, and you can't get that adjusted to ur liking ?
Learn to get into the car without propeling ur leg towards that adjuster.
Really, that's ur easiest solution, if you can't adjust the seat back and forth.
Don't twist the adjuster ****, just push it fwd or back.
