just do your self a favor and have them painted!!!

and get the roush scoop...if your still planning on it....first, as well as a cdc chin spoiler if you care to. I think that chin spoiler made a huge difference in the overall look of the car. It looks like it was always supposed to be there.

I had to get both painted after the fact and it ended up costing me a bit more...

dont ppl usually get the vinyl ? why is painted better ?

vinyl is cheaper in every aspect. It doesn't shine to a gloss, it bubbles, it peals, it looks cheap, and it never covers the entire bumper or decklid. Usually there is a slight gap at the end of the stripe.

You will pay out the a$$ for a good paint job (1500-2000) but you will not be dissappointed.

then again it's your car and your descision to make, I would suggest looking at paint vs vinyl in person before making the ultimate choice

I would say the vinyl is more popular because of the price difference but you do get what you pay for. And yes it is stupid expensive but like I said....totally worth it. You may be just as happy with the vinyl though, but have a very good installer do it with raw vinyl instead of the pre cut stripes because you will have issues with it not covering the whole car.

It's your baby man...do what makes you happy but I implore you to see both options in person before making the descision. I have seen a few ppl on here that ended up ripping off the vinyl to have it painted. I'm not sure what the vinyl will cost you but it's probably safe to say that it is a $1000 difference.

There's also a lot of issues with chips and such because the factory paint is cheap water-based crap (thanx a bunch EPA). Getting the painted stripes gives you the opportunity to have the entire car clear coated a few more times which is well worth it by itself. I got a 3M clear bra after my first chip and it wasn't cheap either (700). Of course having that big bastard chip fixed wasn't exactly cheap.
