Default K&N air filter

I have a 05 v6 mustang and just put in a new K&N air filter. I was wondering if the filter might cause the cars computer to
compensate for the increased air flow and make adjustments as needed resulting in LESS HP at WOT> Also, since the filter is oiled,
can it damage any parts from "oil mist?"

Any info is greatly needed!
Thanks,
RC

The computer will compensate for the little bit of added flow and increase the floe of fuel to make the a/f ratio correct again. The oil will not damage anything unless over-oiled. So when you clean it the first time, make sure you do it per instructions and DO NOT over-oil.

Thats why I like my dry flow filter on my aem bruteforce intake. You don't have to worry about the oil then.
