Default Billet Grille Idea - Need Help!!

I have a Black 06 GT, and i just love the look of the new Hertz Mustang with its clean billet grille and running horse off to the right.
But also like using my fog lights from time to time, and keeping the only immediatly noticable difference between a V6 and V8. So I dont want to loose them entirely. So my questions are these...

What I am not sure of is if I purchased a V6 billet grille from say Ebay, will it mount properly on to my GT in replace of the existing grille? Has any one done this?

And, could it be possible to mount BEHIND & more in the center of the grille two slimmer aftermarket fog lights? It looks like there is enough space

Just looking for some second opinions on making this happen. Thanks

i think that it is very possible, but you could also take a look at the grill that CDC makes, it has two cutouts for the fogs

BTDstang,
I don't believe that the V6 grille will fit on the GT. I recently
replaced my factory grille with an Eleanor style grille. While
I was looking the new grille, I was advised by several aftermarket
sites that the two grilles(V6/GT) were different.
As far as the smaller fog lights, if they would not fit behind the
main grille, you may be able to attach them to the lower grille
area.

GT and V6 grilles are quite different; especially the grill opening area dimensions. Look at your GT grill as see how nicely it fits around the perimeter; the V6 is smaller; (different tabs etc on OE as well).

So then it's not possible to buy a billet grill for a GT that doesnt have the fog lights cut out??

Even if there is no way to mount the fogs behind it, any no fog cutout billet grille out there will not fit a GT?

No one makes one?

Cervini and Blow By Racing carry that exact grille that's on the Hertz car. I think realistically for fogs on the GT you have 2 options. 1. Get some PIAA or whatever fogs and figure out how to mount them on the lower bumper area. I think if the solid plastic panels on the left and right of the lower air intake would be a good spot if you could open them up properly and depth wasn't a concern. 2. Replace the lower bumper with something like a Roush front end or some other model that puts fogs down there.

I too am waffling/fighting with the same issue.

So mounting 2 slimmer aftermarket fog lights behind the billet grille is probably out of the qustion?? Too little of space?? I'm assuming any billet grill would be thinner than the standard GT grille giving me more play to mount 2 fogs back there.

Ideally a whole new front fascia, such as a Rousch or Cervini would be great, but I'm trying to accomplish this as inexpensively as possible.

I just don't know what use it would be having the fogs behind the grille. I can't see them being much functional use.

I'm not really trying to keep the functionality of the fog lights as much as the cosmetic look you get when you just have them on during lets say, dusk. I know they'll be partially obstructed.

I guess I'm just stuck between a rock and hard place where as I want to keep the fog lights, somehow, but I also want the look of the clean billet grill, and without replacing the front fascia to mount the fogs below.

Dealership put this grill on my car, I kind of like it. Not really sure who makes it, but someone has to. Just another option for ya.
