Default New '06 4.0 V6

Just picked it up last weekend. What are the first few mods I should go for? Exhaust, PCM, TBS, etc? anyone have a good recemendation on a cat-back exhaust?

I know this is an idiotic question, but how do I know if it's fuel injected or SOHC? It is the Premium + Pony package.

Any help will be appreciated.

Maybe I misunderstood you, but fuel injection and SOHC are not mutually exclusive terms. Fuel injection is the method of fuel delivery to each cylinder in the engine. SOHC is an acronym that stands for Single OverHead Cam, meaning you have one cam per cylinder head that drives the valve train.

Hope that helps, and congrats on your sweet new ride!

I think it's both. It's also very cool, and deceptively fast.

At the top of the V6 forum their is a thread all about exhaust sound clips and what random people think about their exhausts. I would start there. https://mustangforums.com/m_1183819/tm.htm

Also Look for group buys on CAI, Tunners, and Exhausts for the best deals.
example: https://mustangforums.com/m_1417386/tm.htm

That is one of the deals that I am contimplating. Good luck and welcome to the forum!!!

OK... I already order the MRT AeroTurbine Axle back.

Now... Do I go with a K&N or Airaid CAI? Checker quoted me $341 or $400 (polished?) for the K&N. Airaid wouldn't answer their phone when the clerk was calling. Anyone have a guess what the Airaids go for, and whether or not they outperform the K&N?

Thanks guys... I haven't had a car to add mods to for about 5 year, and that was a GTP. Man that was a fun car to add mods to. So this car have given me the itch again.

Anyone? Anyone? And what is this "tune" I keep reading about? Is it a PCM swap or flash? What CAI would work best with and/or without a tune?

Thanks guys!
