Went to a small car show at a local resturant/bar monday night. Decided to put my car in because it didnt cost anything to enter plus i got a free beer!! They have like two main sections of cars. parking lot section and grass section...everyone looks at the cars in the parking lot and hardly anyone looks at the cars on the grass. the chic (even though she was hot) tells me the lot was full and i have to go on the grass. No problem, thought nothing of it. So im walking through the lot and there are plenty of spaces open and a lot of **** cras filling the spaces that werent open. I was the only new mustang Gt there and lucky me...i got to park next to three pimped out cavaliers, a 93 civic with a fart can and 4 93-95 beat up camaros. yea wonderful. the only think i could think of is that maybe I didnt get the good lot because i wasnt a regular at the show. pretty annoying.

Sounds more like a crowded restaurant parking lot than a car show. I wouldn't get upset, the free beer was probably 2nd place.

That is what you call an iceman show! These guys pic favorites and run with them, and I dont care how much you have done, you will still be beat out by them. Theres a club here in kentucky called Lone Wolf Customs. These guys PAY every year to get trophies at all the local shows run by a few particular groups. Pretty frickin sad.

Car shows are all about politics. Some will always be unfair, occasionally you might find a fair show. That's why I just race now.

you have a stock looking gt...which looks like 95% of the other GT's on the road. the other cars were riced out so of course they got more attention.

Yeah don't worry about it, i had my '00 all decked out and took it to many car shows around where i live and it was nothing but 70's type cars at almost every one. There was a few newer cars but only a handful and i never won anything, it was always the old cars so i just stoped going. Had more fun at the car cruises than the car shows b/c like someone else said they already had the winners picked.
