RE: Two seriously injured after rolling Mustang in west end
As a teenager and young adult, I remember the occational dragging on the street with my 70 Camaro. Now in my late 30's I realize how lucky I was not to get myself or someone hurt or pulled over with a reckless driving ticket. Now that I have my new muscle car, I'm tempted once again to jump off the line at a stoplight.
Then I found out the local speedway in Denver has open night every Wednesday. Bikes, trucks, cars, whatever can drag on the 1/4 mile track from 4-9 PM each Wednesday for $30. Sure, it costs a bit, but it's definately the smartest way to go to get that racing itch scratched. I haven't gone yet, but plan to soon.

Our local track (in the city where the disastrous street race occurred) also has a 'street legal drag night' that goes every Friday night for $20. If I wasn't working in Gillette, Wyoming right now I'd be there tomorrow night myself.
