I had the same problem in late 2004. I really wanted an 05 GT but knew I couldn't afford it and I needed a car ASAP. My choices were an 03 mach1, 04 GT, or 05V6. I loved the new design and got an awsome deal on the 6, so I took it and have no regrets.

I bought a near baseline 2006 Mustang GT deluxe in Jan for $23,495......Redfire

Try harder and you can get one too.

That would be awesome. I could almost do that. Now, 22,500 would work! Did you buy private party or did you trade something for it at a dealer?

I am looking to sell my 2006 GT Premium 5-speed, Black/Black with 1800 miles (bought new in February) for $24,000. I love the car but I want to trade it in for a convertible (i owned an 04 GT convertible and traded it in) I have always owned convertibles but bought the 2006 GT coupe because I (and my son) loved the style (I am 45 so it was also a nostalia thing). I live in south florida and miss the convertible though but the dealer will only give me $22,000 for a trade on a 2006 GT vert.

The car is like new and stock - I live 4 miles from work. I am putting up for sale next week. Carmax offered me $23,500 2 months ago.

If you are interseted in discussing or have questions, please email me at wartes37@hotmail.com.

mach 1 hands down 4V DOHC > 2V SOHC > V-6

I wouldn't get the '04 Mustang, if you want the '05+ and you only get the '04 due to $$$, then you'll constantly beat yourself up for settling on something you really didn't want. I'd suggest having some patience, keep your Mazda and wait for the right deal to come along on an '05+ GT. Searching for one is half the fun, so take your time and keep looking!

Was gonna get the mach, then did a carfax on it and it was listed as stolen. Who knows what happened to it, so I skipped it. Now i'm hoping ford either come sout with a Boss or another mach in the near future.

Sent you a pm Stangster06.

Right now, my local dealer is looking around for either a good used 05 GT or a good 04 GT. The 04 is more affordable, but the 05 looks nicer and has all the 05 'upgrades' that the 04 does not. I'm a little anxious about the 05 because of it being the first year one was made, but hopefully that won't make a big difference in the quality of the vehicle. I need for this one to last a long time! An 04 is very likely to have all the bugs worked out. I don't think there is even a recall after 01 on that model GT, if I remember correctly.

That new 06 is still sitting on the lot begging me to get it. Just can't though, gotta hold off for something more affordable. Truly the 04 GT is the really affordable one, and I do like those cars so I'm not going to be unhappy if that's what is going to be what I can get. I liked my 03 a lot obviously because I'm looking to get back to a Mustang. [8D]

Maybe something will show up in the next couple of weeks. The guy at the dealer said he was going to "find what I want." So we'll see.

I just looked on carmax for the heck of it and theres a 03 mach1 with 52k miles for 18k
If you're trying to save every penny and have a good car that seems to be a good deal
