Tire pressure for road course event?
For those of you running the stock PZNs and auto-xing or road racing, what cold tire pressure are you running? The max psi is 51, but for regular driving 35 seems to be the norm.
thanks guys

RE: Tire pressure for road course event?
not running stock tires, but I had my 255/45/18's at 32 to start, after 20 min run they were up to 39 all 4. 80+ degree day.
I would start at about 37-38 ish see how it goes, or ask someone when you get there.
Pump 45 in em and drive to the event if not sure no air at the event, then you can just let some out to recommended psi

RE: Tire pressure for road course event?
I usually run 32 to start and then drop as the day wears on based on how things feel. I can't remember exactly, but I do recall once dropping the front pretty low (I think it was 28) on the PZN's and actually had my best lap times of the weekend that run.
With the BFGs I pretty much stick to 31-32 all around.
I don't usually run at the track June-Aug (too damn hot in Texas) so the daily temp range when I do run is usually 50-80 degrees.
