ORIGINAL: Tracedaddy

I love the mirrors on my car too. Changing lanes in my previous car, a Mazda 6, was a crap shoot. The B pillar was next to my head so looking over my shoulder didn't help much. Those tiny mirrors were just awful. The visibility in my Mustang, even with the high beltline, is infinitely better than in the Mazda.

Just chalk it up as a lesson learned. Brushless or by hand.
Man, I know what you mean. I almost pulled right out in front of a car the other day because of that stupid pillar. It's right in the way of your face if you have to look behind ya!

Its the 80% recycled water that gives me the creeps. I'll wash by hand like I always have.

Use microfiber, chamois just drag dirt across your paint. If you want a good buffer get the Porter Cable 7424. Autogeek.net has some nice kits at a good price.

having done my stint in auto parts stores for 10 years total, i would never go through ANY type of mechanical carwash. Touchless or other.

I don't know how many countless times I've seen cars come in with long scratches down the top or sides of their car, broken mirrors, broken antennas, scratched rims, etc.

If you live in an apartment. Go to a friends house and offer to help them wash their car. I just won't ever take mine to a car wash place.
