stupid plastic seat tilt lever...

RE: stupid plastic seat tilt lever...
I've looked for an aluminum replacement and haven't found one so I was considering taking it apart to see how hard it would be to make one. If I had access to a CNC it would be easy but all I can get on is a lathe and a mill. If I ever get off my butt and do something about it, I'll post pics.

My kid's are in and out of the backseat all the time. ( 15 and 13 )
I have read posts on this subject since I got the car.
The first time the kids held the lever up and let the seat fly forward I about killed them !!!
NOW I watch every time, and also give them the EVIL EYE.
Believe me....they lift the lever and hold the seat very gently.
