back to the wildhorse!
hey ya'll!! I just got back to driving a Stang (05 GT) after years of F-Bodies.....I am just loving this new Mustang!!!! Anywho....I picked up a Steeda CAI, Diablo Tuner, offroad X-pipe, and Magnaflo after-axle exhaust; unfortunately the Tuner did not come with the Steeda CAI tune loaded on to it.... so i just ended up with the performance tune that comes with the tuner. Problem is that the car feels like i am towing a 5th feel behind it from idle to 3000rpm and i am getting DTC's of both banks running too lean.....Anyone know of some specific parameter changes that i can make to this tune to solve this problem???? I have heard of advancing the timing +4 and riching it up by 1-2%; this hasnt resolved the issue. Any help on this would be great!!!!!

RE: back to the wildhorse!
Your Diablo 93 canned tune enriches fuel by 4% and adds about 6% global and 4% advance in both ranges. Have you tried that tune? If you are running lean enough to throw codes, then 1% is not enough.

Man am I getting old. Used to be we used terms like "advance and retard". Now they are 'throwing codes". I absolutely love this new stuff!

I'm and OLD fart too...
When I would work on my 69... to maker her richer you just backed out the screws on the carbs an 1/8 turn till she sounded right!
All my friends had permenent white painted timing markers on their crank pully.
We would hold a piece of paper up to the exhaust to be sure our timing wasn't too close to TDC and to check for missing fires. (would suck the paper into the pipe.)
You wanted more air.. you bought bigger (or more) carbs and an intake manifold.
There was no such thing as a speed or RPM Limiter! We blew a LOT of engines up learning what "Redline" was.
Personally, I LOVE these new electronic engines... you can change nearly anything and still wear your dockers!
