If you get a staggered setup (have wider tires in the back than the front) you wont be able rotate them anyways... you cant put a 10 inch wide tire in the front you wont clear the wheel well on turns. Not to mention it will look dumb as hell. If youre looking to be able to rotate them just order all 18x9's, otherwise if you go with the 18x10's be prepared to order new tires sooner.

OK, I have 4 Anthracite 18X9 Bullet Rims for the Front and Rear and I am putting 275/40 ZR18 on all four corners.
are you saying that the 275/40 18 are going to rub on the fender?

RE: 18x9 bullet Rims Tire Question
These are my 18x9 Rims with BFG KDW 275/40 ZR18 installed on my friends 05 V6 Mustang. I will have them installed on my GT Wednesday.
and I will post Pictures then. The Tire shop used my friends car to make sure the tires will fit since mine was still in virginia and the shop is in Raleigh, NC

Your 275's will be fine. These are 255 on 18x9.

Well I hope I made the right choice, I ordered BFgoodrich KDW 275/40 ZR18 all around, the Rims
are 18x9 with a 6.42" backspace (+36mm offset). The lug pattern is 5x4.5 (114.3mm).

If you want to keep the same filment with the new wheels and tires that you have now with the 235/55/17 then you will want to use 18x9 rims with 275/45/18 on all four corners.
Going with the 275/40/18 will leave big holes between the top of the tire and the fenders.
You'll see what I mean afetr you get your new stuff installed. You'll probably will want to get the car lowered.
I too wanted the same size tires on all four corners so that I could rotate them. I also wanted the widest tire I could get without the tire sticking out of the wheel well. (rice).
I'm getting either 275/45/18 or 265/45/18 all season tires w/ 18x9 Deep Dish Chrome Bullett wheels on all four corners. This way I maintain the same filment as stock and dont have to lower the car.
We get snow sometimes here in St. Louis and my GT is a daily driver.
Here is a site you can visit and compare your stock tires and rims to the new stuff.

Hope this helps man.
