Default 18x9 bullet Rims Tire Question

I have a set of Bullet Rims 18x9 and I am looking at the BF Goodrich or Nitto 555 tire sizes 275/40 r18
how do these look on the 05-06 mustangs or should I stick with the 255/45 r18 size and be safe?

Code:
Tire Metric Size Wheel Size(in) Tire Width(in)	Side Wall Height (in)	Tire Height
 Stock Tire 235/ 55%	17X8 9.25 5.09 27.18
 BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 275/ 40%	18X9 10.83 4.33 26.66
 BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW2 255/ 45%	18X9 10.04 4.52 27.04
Here is the Tire Sizes

My Question is "will the 275/40 fit the 18x9 rim and will it look ok without lowering the car?

Kwikpny
I have asked this question on another forum and most people are running 18x9 on the fronts and 18x10 on the rears so I never get this answered.

I would like to keep all tires the same size so as to rotate them to extend the life. so any help would be appreciated ..
275/40 zr18 front and rear on 18x9 ????

I myself am going for 18x9's with 255/45's all the way around on my 06 GT. I too want to be able to do tire rotations.

As for 255's vs. 275's on a 9" wheel, the 255's look like they will give a good balance between ride quality and handling, whereas the 275 will improve ride quality at the expense of handling.

Also, there is a .52 % (from 60 to 60.3) increase to speedometer for the 255 and a 1.88 % (60 to 61.1) increase for the 275.

Hope this helps, Have a great day.

Thanks,
I am having problems with traction due too the 4.10:1 Gears, so Wider tires is what I am looking for. and I have the SCT XCAL II Tuner so Tire Size vs Speed is not a problem

Well I hope I made the right choice, I ordered BFgoodrich KDW 275/40 ZR18 all around, the Rims
are 18x9 with a 6.42" backspace (+36mm offset). The lug pattern is 5x4.5 (114.3mm).
