Default Replacing my rear speakers

Ok, I got my Infinity Kappa speakers last night. Everything looks pretty straight forward and I have removed my stock speakers. However, I can't figure out which wire is positive and which is negative. It doesn't say on the stock speaker or connector. Anyone know which is which???

The positive wire is the one with the stripe on it. That's standard labeling.

They actually both have a stripe on them. One is brown with a yellow strip and the other is grey with a blue stripe.

How Odd. That's different from the color coding on my car. Do you have a 'vert?

Another way to tell is the positive wire is the one closest to the "tab" on the speaker connector.

No I have a coupe. Unfortunately both tabs are the same distance. It looks like Ford put some kind of aftermarket plastic connector on these speakers.

I haven't looked at the rears yet, but when I changed the front ones, I looked inside the end of the connector--positive was marked with a "+". Left and right were different colors, too.

Yeah, just pull that plug off the speaker in your picture and look down inside it (you'll need good lighting) one will be marked positive. Then just match the clipped wire color with the wire you'll attach to the new speaker. Verify left and right speaker colors also.

Guys, I must be blind. I don't see anything inside the connectors indicating positive or negative. The only thing I see that would differentiate is a number 1 on one side and a number 2 on the other. Isn't there some way to check polarity with a 9 volt battery?
