Steeda Dynojet Test Run... 301.69RWHP!
Ok, went this morning for my pre supercharger test run and these are the results...
All pulls were on a Dynojet Chassis Dyno @ Sealevel (Pompano Beach, Florida)
Steeda Cold Air Intake
SCT XCalibrator 2 (Base 93 Octane Tune)
FRPP Ceramic Shorty Headers
FRPP X-Pipe
FRPP Borla Mufflers
Air Temp: 91.42 F
Humidity: 60%
Max Power: 300.95 RWHP
Max Torque: 313.24 RWTQ
Ok, she was running a little rich so we leaned it out and put in some spark and went from an A/F of about 11.75 to just about 12.75, just under 13.0, the N/A cars like to be at about that; we will bring it back when I put in the SC...
Air Temp: 93.58 F
Humidity: 50%
Max Power: 301.69 RWHP
Max Torque: 315.94 RWTQ
She was not as cool for the last run so maybe a couple more HP if all things were equal and it was hot out so if we were at 75 degrees F we would have been better off, however I think she did very well and I am happy with how she is running. She drives great and pulls very hard all day long...
Next are high flow cats that should be good for a few more HP and then next week the Steeda Magnason supercharger and the exhaust should really pay off then... The cold air intake and tuner will be the same for the SC so I protect the investment. We should be at about 425-435 RWHP and 410-420 RWTQ with the SC, I will post the results next week when I have them... The plan is to go conservative with the stock internals, then in a few months I am going to forged pistons, crank and rods and go from abot 7psi to 10 for 525 RWHP and about 500 RWTQ. The last few details will be the FRPP aluminum radiator, then front and rear brakes and lines...
The other plans are:
Heavy Duty Clutch
Aluminum Flywheel
One piece aluminum drive shaft
T56
I will post a scan of the Dyno chart tonight...

RE: Steeda Dynojet Test Run... 301.69RWHP!
The headers are good for about 5hp and a tad more with a SC, I get FRPP at cost so from memory it was 300 for the headers, 300 for the mufflers and 100 for the X-Pipe...
The Magnaflow high-flow cats with X-Pipe are 450.00 at which point I will sell the FRPP X-Pipe...

i wonder how much those headers really help. how much did frpp set u back?

Yes, this would be with a conservative tune and boost... You can go as low as high three hundreds or as high as high 400 but running on the edge with a stock engine... Whipple says they will make 475 RWHP, I say that is living life on the razors edge without going forged...

Yes, and there is a write-up on it in one of the mags I have at home that tested several kits...

Are you serious? They are claiming 475... thats 200 hp from the SC alone?? Or is that 475 including other mods like CAI and LT's?
