Hey PT Loser is going into it's eigth year with no significant changes: http://money.cnn.com/2006/06/20/Autos/pt_cruiser/

I can't really imagine what they could do to make this car any better, I think they've got lightning in a jar and any attempts to mess with the styling will only make it worse. The only excuse I can think of is to get a buzz going to compete with the Camaro/Challenger crowd. I just hope the "modern classic musclecar" thing doesn't get too overblown. Gas costs too much $$$ as it is and I don't want to replace the Hummer as the new poster boy for wastefulness.

I hope they change it enough to at least tell a diffrence. It was fun to have a favorite year of Mustang instead of 10 year run. A 3 year run would be good.

I hpoe they don't go too far. I really don't feel like trading in my current stang. If we lose a little milage to performance then so be it. This is a performance car not a prius. If they would throw in a T-56 or something with six gears and the current motor I'd bet we could see close to 30-32 mpg on the hwy if its geared properly.

Unless they add another 100 hp, then we become weak and unwanted.

It will happen in 2008, but it will be in summer with the 2009 model.

The platform won't change - they put a lot of effort into the Ford/Mazda body we have now.

I hope they dont change anything because the 05+ is still new on the streets and if they are changing anything they should change the engine first because living almost 9 or 10 years with a 3v v8 is not good... at least make it a 4v and add power for the next mustangs there should be 100 more HP because dont forget there is a muscle war going on which just started...

camaro is coming
challenger is coming
( heard trans am is coming)
let them add power for us to beat porsches like caymens and carerra's..
lets beat those m3 beemers ....

this is what should be done... power, looks, muscle <----- this is what i call mustang

Per popular consenses the 3V heads are the best to date. The CFM on the 4V heads are better but the 3V head Flow air straight to the combustion chamber so we don't need big numbers. Instead of adding 100 hp maybe they should drop weight where it counts and do with another 50-70hp. Maybe they should follow the Saleen 302 that just came out.
