HELP pls!!! Immobilizer driving me nuts!
HELP PLEASE!
this thing is really threatening my love to GT!!
I got into car, try to start the engine and it does only KLIK KLIK sounds somewhere in the relay box near the passenger seat and engine wont start.
When it first occured, I disconnected minus at the battery, let it 20 sec rest and reconnect it reseting computer, then I re-opened trunk several times (it is somehow connected to alarm security system), locked and unlocked and engine started ok.
Then it was running smooth for several days and then it happened again. That time I didnt need to disconnect the battery but only reopen trunk, do several locks/unlocks from inside the car and it started again.
Yesterday, however, it happened again and none of those "solutions" worked so Stang is sitting sadly in front of my house (
FUKK the electronics!!! I just need V8 without that crap! Im desperate koz local Ford is not importing Mustangs into country and nobody here really knows what to do w it...
Is there a way to immobilize blo--dy immobilizer or get all that security crap out of the car??? (sometimes when I open trunk, alarm of the car also go nuts....as well as I do)
Any help really really appreciated!!!

update:
i spent all day going through posts all over the internet and it seems that this type of problem was encountered in some earlier models of Stang, probably has something to do w factory PATS system or securilock not reading data from the key properly.
Anyway when I was trying to check the fuses (just in case), I opened and closed passanger door and voila - engine started again and is starting since then.... thing is I dont know when this $hit happens again (hopefully not tmrw as Im going to get Beltronics installed).
I will try to get local Ford to reprogram keys see if it makes any change

Sound like it may be the Smart Box is going bad. When mine failed the car did all kinds of screwy things lke that. Also you should be able to program your keys and remotes on your own. It tells you how in the woners manual.
