This board is slow. The dealer got back to me and confirmed that they do x-plan pricing and that that is the x-plan price. So unless the car has 1,000 miles on it or there is some major factory defect i'll be buying it tommorrow.

Do you have an x-plan pin? If not, you might want to clarify with the dealer whether they require one or not. I ordered an '07 and got x-plan type pricing without x-plan, but you want to verify it beforehand.
I hear you on the GTO. Being a long-time Pontiac nut I wanted so much to love the GTO. But I could not even bring myself to like the body style no matter how hard I tried. It's a real tragedy, the performance is there but it's been slapped way too many times by the ugly stick.

I jsut found out today that I do qualify for X-plan pricing, so now all I need is to find the car I want.

I sent them an email about why they didn't have the 2007 mustang listed. I thought maybe they weren't going to offer x-plan pricing on the 07's. They have every other 2007 model listed.
I've allready got my pin if that question was directed at me. I'll be paying $298 over invoice. I could wait for or order an 07, but i'm too impatience, plus I don't know how long my credit union will be offering 4.5% financing. Financed for 6 years[:-]my payments will be $367 per month with some cash down.

Do you know about forddirect.com? It's great for locating Mustangs. Unfortunately they do not have 07's in the system yet, but you can search for 06's still.

I did go to ford direct and practically every 06 GT left is an automatic in my area! I can get the PIN number for the Xplan pricing as I already have my employer code. Maybe I'll have to look further out of the metro boston area to get the color/transmision combo I am thinking about. OR I could just order an 07! there are 2 big ford dealerships within 5 miles of my house. I am going to put down about 5,000 so I can get my paymets where I will be comfortable. I could put down more. Anyway I think I finally committed myself to getting a Mustang GT, the infinity is nice but interior is small and I didnt like the clutch engagement, the GTO has a body from 1997 , they are fast but only by a few tenths faster than a tuned Mustang for several thousand less, and the mustang just looks awesome. I think what sold me on the car was that tail light cam video of the mustang pullng out of the apartment complex and then ripping through the gears with the American thunder flowmaster exaust. My top color choices would be black, red fire metallic or silver, with 18" wheels. I think the end of august will be my time frame to sign the paperwork.
