See Eric,
We all told you that the good karma (giving the GT to DAD) would come back to you...funny how things work, huh....you find a killer camera, so you have it to take photos of you and your Dad's trip in the Pony..... Gotta love it...

Take care,
Mike

LOL thanks Mike.

BTW guys I drove the stang around town and the mountains almost the entire weekend (I didn't go in to town though....obviously because I would have stalled in the middle of the road lol) and let me just say that I am even happier that the stang won't be my first car. If it was an auto that would be an entirely different story though. I found that because I am so new to the driving world it is already hard enough to drive an auto in stop-and-go traffic, but is is REALLY hard for me to do that with a stick due to me having to do too many things at once to really stay focused on what is happening around me on the road, so when the time comes that I get my stang' I will be very accustomed to stop-and-go traffic and it will be a minor transition from going auto to stick.

Oh yea and BTW it's really fun passing 5 big rigs at once going 120mph.....don't tell my mom!!!! ******CHILL................MY DAD WAS DRIVING LOL******

Great pics!
Brings back memories.
Lived in Independence for awhile, about 40 miles south.
Hiked up Mt. Whitney a time or two.
Ahhh, the nostalgia.

Really, thats cool. My dad and I have been hiking up Mt. Whitney in the summer for the past 3 years except for this year becuase I will be with some good friends in Colorado Springs, Coloardo next week and my dad got the permit on a day that I am going to be gone so I think he is going to do it solo (it's scary thinking he will be up there all alone, but he doesn't care lol). We stoped at Whitney portal to get lunch on the way back too. Do you still live in California?

Unfortunately my first time hiking Mt. Whitney I got altitude sickness around the 75th switchback(it was the section where the switchbacks got very small) going up the mountain and it got so bad I would go up one switchback and I would have to rest on the next one for about 5 minutes to get the strength to do another one. Needless to say I went down and felt like 100% when I got to the bottom of the switchbacks. It was so disapointing being only about 2 1/2- 3 miles from the top and have to turn around.

BTW when I'm in Colorado I'll be hiking up Pikes Peak so I will definitely be keeping busy!!!

LOL thanks.

I didn't mention this but the 2nd and 3rd pictures weren't planned. My dad parked there exactly how you see it, because that is right by a good fishing area we like fishing at, and when I was walking back to the car my jaw dropped and I was like "YES!!!" lol. I got the camera out and I was like those guys who take pictures of supermodels..."YES BABY!!!" "THAT" PERFECT" "GIVE ME SOME MORE OF THAT" lol. My dad was like......"Ummmmm.......oooooooooooooookkkkkkkkkkk kkkkk then" lol.
