Post pics of how you mounted your amp
I was wondering how people have mounted their amps in their cars. I think the easiest is just going to be get some thin mdf and glue it to the uderside of my carpet in my trunk on the part sloping up to the rear seats and screw them down there. But suggestions would be nice.
Also I'm decidinge between Polk sr 6500 and a 12 inch polk sr sub or SAES Lotus components and a 12 in lotus sub, if anyone has experience with either one of those feedback would be great. Thanks.
One last thing, the plastic piece which goes over the latch that the trunk latches to, the pins holding that to the car, how can I remove those to get that piece off, thanks.

getting a 4channel amp installed as i type this. it's being installed on the back of the rear passenger side seat with slits cut in the carpet to hide the wires. the seat folding will still be fully functional and i'll keep all my trunk space this way.

here's some pics of the install:
with the amp powering the kenwood x680 6x8's in front door and rear deck it sounds like a whole new system. it's incredibly clear with plenty of bass. maybe not enough bass if you're a rap thumper but for my heavy metal it's all i need.

I don't have any descent pics, and I snapped these while I was doing the install. But I too mounted mine to the rear seat backs.

I love how you mounted your cap on the top, center like that, it looks awesome.
Does it hang down much? I want to do that but if it hangs down too much I cant.. otherwise the surfboard wont fit through there [8D]

Never measured, but it can't be that much. Cap is about the same diameter as a drink can, and the brackets only give about a half inch or so between the cap and the mounting surface.

I mounted mine in the left side space behind the wheel. I took some foam care and cut the shapes to fit in the corner and "perfected" the shape of it.
Than I transfered that to MDF, cut it out, put it together and put the fabric on it.
The box is secured with two bolts through the bottom of the trunk with large washers, etc.
The top of the box is removable. Just sitting on there, but very snug.
The box holds my crossovers. The MB Quart ones are quite large and I could not find any other place
