06 GT Vert Cowl Shake
Just took delivery of an 06 GT Vert with 18" wheels and must say I am surprised by the amount of cowl shake. Watching the rear view mirror do the sideways shimmy when I hit bumps is a bit unnerving. I previously owned a 95 GT Vert and based on research and reading was expecting that the 06 car would be much more solid than the 95.
I sold my 95 in 2001. Is it just that I haven't driven a Vert for five years or do other 05/06/07 owners experience significant cowl shake as well?

RE: 06 GT Vert Cowl Shake
On back to back drives against an 04 GT vert with fewer miles than my 05 GT vert over the same roads the 05 is MUCH tighter.
It will still shake the cowl on bad roads but they have to be pretty bad.

RE: 06 GT Vert Cowl Shake
If your cowl is shaking at high speed the stop bumbers need to be adjusted. That is all.
Put some white out on them and close the hood. If they don't leave a nice solid mark, adjust them upwards a bit.
These new verts are very tight, very stiff but even the coupes are getting cowl shake from improper stop bumper adustment.
