ORIGINAL: ECR5.0

A shop near me just did a prototype for a dealer ship. Twin Turbo setup. He put down 418rwhp with 470 or 480 ft lbs at 6PSI he showed me the dyno curve and it looked good. lots of power at 1200 rpms . My question to you is he is asking $8000 for everything. Parts, installed and dyno tuned. The car was completely stock, the only thing he changed was the mufflers to give it some sound. Do you think this price is a bit much? Im not sure what other kits are running. Thank for the help.
sure, as much power @ 1200 rpm as a stock motor...

not calling BS, but that's pretty hard to find/accomplish with those power numbers... i'd wait until this prototype goes production, to make sure the dyno curve remains intact. 8000 bucks is pretty steep, but if that boost threshold really is 1200 rpm, it might be worth it (especially if u drive a manual).

only other TT kit i know of is the STS, which is overpriced but has impressive numbers ~450HP @ 7 PSI

QuickShort, what boost are u running in your car? couldn't find any real info on the powerhouse website...

I am running 9psi, but those numbers were through stock mufflers and with the engine heat soaked.

QB last I heard was running 9.5psi on a conservative tune to help promote the longevity of the engine

I'm getting the same turbo, same boost, same tune on mine in early October - I'm hoping for a better # on the dyno cuz it'll be cooler when I get mine done, hahaha. But I still won't be able to touch his beast of a ride....suspension mods on his are gonna make mine look time in comparison (altho they are actually pretty good in the package deal I'm getting).

edit: oops QB beat me to it

Yeah it runs 9-10 psi depending on the day, 9psi spring in the wastegate. I am sure your car will put down more than enough power to make you VERY happy once we are done with your car.
