Any advice on what should I be doing to keep my vert top in good condition? Should I worry at all about Car Wash auto waxes?

Thiers a product call rag top it keeps the top looking good for years. they sell it at auto geek .com This is what i use hope this help you.

Aerospace 303 protectant. I just got a vert and saw recommended on these forums. Great stuff.

First thing ...make sure you bought a black vert top. If you check your owners manual it lists Ford products. One is for vert top care. I have no idea if it actually works. Just my 2 cents.

You have a vinyl top, get a good vinyl top cleaner and protectant. Keep the dirt/stains off and you should be looking good for a long time.

I hope you're not taking your car throught an automatic car wash. You not should do that with a convertible. It will leak around the window seals due to the high water pressure. Hand wash it or use the manual spray off bay.

I use Blue Magic convertible top cleaner and protectant. Works fine for me.

Go with the ragg top 2 part system that can be found on autogeek. One bottle is a cleaner, the other a protectant. Will make your top look like new and keep it that way.
