Mach 1 impressionists, here ya go...
I checked out the Cervini site for the first time in a while and stumbled across some new body fittings/hoods for our cars. If one was gonna do a Mach 1 or Boss interpretation on the S197 platform, this is what I think it should look like. What do guys think? It definitely has gotten my attention.....and now I may be contemplating this look. I also love the Mach 1 styled rims.
P.S. Sorry if this is has been posted already.......i'm a little behind on my 05/06 section news as of late:( Check out hoods at the bottom of the page also.......some good non-shaker style options there too.;) https://www.cervinis.com/product.aspx?car=1&id=1160 |

RE: Mach 1 impressionists, here ya go...
Since ford seems to have done a masterful job of returning to a "classic" look, there seems to be a rapid back-fill of all the variations from the past...
It is fun to watch, but I am wondering what we need to do now to ensure that coming repeat of the gas/oil crunch does not cause a corresponding return of the Mustang-II? Perhaps we should start by breifing Caroll? "GT500 - good!, dodge - bad! - ZAP!, - now again!" Maybe we are already too late and a style-impairment pandemic is already in the works? The GTO and PT cruiser body certainly seems to hint that it is spreading... Forget bird flu - we need to find and destroy all sewing templates for bell-bottoms now! |

Here are the quick snaps of the non-shaker hood treatments. Equally sweet.

A company calloed Fang performance carries the 69/70 hood. When I was contemplating going with a coupe I considered their hood. I love the look.

On the otherhand, I've heard nothing but positive feedback from guys who have Cervini parts on their car, so I felt strongly that Cervini would be the way to go....for me anyways. I had never considered a single scoop hood up until now.........I love the old Mach 1 spear hoods, and I love how it would look on our cars. IMO, this is the kind of hood shaping that is needed for singular scoops to look at home on the S197's. |
