RE: Best Way to get a GT500?
Unless you are the OWNER of a dealership (not just friends with) I honestly think the only way to get a GT500 without SOME SORT of markup is to STEAL ONE....
Later down the road, I'm sure they'll be opportunities for deals but first years...forget it. All these threads of stories of knowing someone are 1 of 2 things.
A. BS
B. Someone believing BS

Do you have a COSTCO in your area? They offer discount pricing on new cars, too. I bought my '06 by getting a price quote through COSTCO, which ended up being $300 over factory invoice price, NOT dealer invoice. By the time we got through with the dealer, I think we had him so confused over pricing that we got the car for $100 over factory invoice price.

Buy it for whatever they want for it, wait until you've paid the MSRP through normal monthly payments then torch the car collect the insurance and pay it off. Of course if you get caught you will go to jail and become someone's biach but you did ask.

You have something that cost you $50,000 that you wish to sell.
You *know* that everyone around you that has one is selling it for $80,000, and you *know* people will pay that much for this item.
Now, tell me, how likely are you to sell me that item for $50,000?
