Front Seat side mounted air bags

Hopefully getting a new 2007 mustang. My question is do the side air bags actually help at all in an accident?
thanks

Yes they help very much. I reccomend spending the extra couple hundred to get them.

My insurance guy said they were worth the investment and would pay for themselves in a discount over the years and right away if in an accident and needed them.

To answer your question yes. And before you ask..the windshield really does keep rain off of you face. Forget the airbags.. me thinks you need a helmet.

and they would have gotten a 9 star rating WITH the side impact... but they can't score more then 5 :D

Basic fact - - YES they work.. in a side impact... Bottom line.... you get t-boned... do you care if you just walk away and catch a taxi home... or prefer to be taken to the hospital instead in an ambulance to get your head stitched up from where it went thorugh the window, and have your arm and shoulder pinned and reset where the door broke them!

Personally - - - I preferr the taxi ride, so I got the side impact airbags!
