Putting in a Crazy Stereo System

This is the first time I bought a mustang. Just got a 2005 V6 about 3 weeks ago bc it has low milage and had alittle bit of stuff done to it. I love it. However, I am very into stereos, For my house I have two gaint cerwin vega towers speaker setup. So I decide to go all out with cerwin vega for my sub package. So i just got two 12inch cerwin vega stroker, 4000 watt max and 2000watt RMS. Im using cerwin vegas's biggest amp EXl1200D(mono 1 ohm and has 150amps fuse on the side), according to the manaual its RMS should stay around 1200 watt. I just bough 1/O guage amp kit from streetwires, because that is what cerwin vega suggest. I just installled, a kenwood double din touch screen dvd nag system. It looks great and sounds good on the stock speakers. I plan on install the rest of the stuff once, i get my box built and wires in the mail. I was wondering, do I need a capicator or extra battery? I was thinking to install everything and see how bad my lights dimm when the bass hits, but if anyone has sugestions let me know.

As long as you are putting that much effort in to it, why not go ahead with the cap. I have two Kicker 650.4 amps in mine and running them through a 1.5 farad digital cap. Not a single bit of dimming at any volume

RE: Putting in a Crazy Stereo System

a few notes:

a) CV strokers are major kick-ass subs, but will not sound that great, just really loud. by the looks of your setup you aren't an SQ guy anyways, so you wouldn't really notice that aspect and it wont bother you like it would me.

b)caps are useless. get a yellow or blue top optima battery and a high output alternator. that will fix your amperage woes without just band-aiding them and complicating the wiring setup. it will also be safer for your amp, which may or may not have low voltage protection

c)port those motherfuggers to about 38hz and it will scare you

d)be sure to sound deaden your car, as light weight and speed are already kind of out the window...it will be more improvement than adding a third sub and another 600watts rms, i promise you.
