Plenum Cover and Hurst Shifter
Good Day today, I got my Ford plenum cover and a Hurst shifter. I had to get rid of the Throttle body ssacer to nstall the plenum cover. I also picked up those plastic strut tower covers and a can of Torch red paint and painted the covers and the top of the struts. I think it looks much better then that huge hole.
I bought the T handle for it the shifter. The shifter is the one without the chrome handle so it looks like the stock shifter. Originally I was going to keep the stock shift knob but I saw the T handle at Autozone and decided to get it. It's pretty cool, it's a universal handle and it has a set of threaded inserts to fit every type of application. I had to put a fender washer under the boot to keep it up. In retrospect, I should have gone with the Chrome handle. http://www.cherod.com/mustang/Scarlet/engine2.jpg http://www.cherod.com/mustang/Scarlet/hurst.jpg |
RE: Plenum Cover and Hurst Shifter
Hurst will probably sell you just the chrome stick.
They usually sell all the stuff separatly. What brand of strut covers did you buy?? |
RE: Plenum Cover and Hurst Shifter
They were the cheap $5 ones on ebay. I painted them and the top of the struts body color. I just wanted something to cover the top of the strut tower. It did not look good in black.

OK I give...where did you purchase the plastic strut tower covers? I've searched every supplier I know of and I've been skunked. I'm officially crying "uncle" on this one.

RE: Plenum Cover and Hurst Shifter
They show up on ebay from time to time. They are 4.95/pair including shipping. He doesn't have any for sale right now, but if you email the seller, he may be able to send them to you. It's just a round pice of plastic with a hole in the middle.
