I Drove my 06 GT from Omaha, NE to NYC on leave to see family. Brother was in the back seat behind the wife. Daughter sat in the baby seat behind me. Luggage all fit though I couldn't squeeze a deck of cards extra in the trunk. And god bless the portable DVD player for the little one. 1250 miles each way, spent 8 days in the city. Lots of fun. I Have to ding Ford once again on the interior though. After that many miles my right knee was hurtin against that hard plastic (had to use a pillow pad for the return) and my left elbow almost blistered against the door arm rest.
Anyway, I stopped by a public shooting range in PA in a remote hunting area to shoot some clay with some friends and lo and behold the road going in was "washed out" and "closed" according to the signs. Pretty rough. Well, while I take care of it I bought my car to use it and have fun with it not to have it cause me stress and miss out adventures. So we decided to press. My friend has a WRX and he had an easier time. I heard some scraping and clunking over some of the rocks but a carefully planned route got me out without any visible damage. The road was actually worse than comes up in the pictures. You can't quite make out the size of a lot of the stones and the depth of the missing chunks of road. Fun though. Not something I would do everyday but for a once in a blue moon thing why not. I like breaking the mould. My GT carries a 2 year old and over washed out roads! haha.

haha! She was saying more than that. She wanted out, I kept stopping for pictures. She's pregnant and sick all the time. Oh well. She puts up with my manias. This new little indoor helicopter I just got is her new trial of endurance.

Man, what can't our Stangs do? The other day I saw a guy in a GT vert like yours pulling a jetski with his top down on the highway. You just took it a step further! Those are some sweet pictures, especially the second one on your first post, what gorgeous scenery!

That road looks more like a place to "dump a body" then to drive your brand new car. Come on now and fess up. Your wife told you to get a GPS, but you wouldn't listen. See what not stopping for directions will get you?
