I don't know, there is a lot going on there parts wise (headlamps, etc.) I would be very surprised to see a quality setup ever get under 2k. But 1.5k, 2k, 2.5k... does it matter? ...gonna spend some decent bucks at the paint shop anyway. Quality fit would be my first priority.

Nothings painted or installed yet lol, I need to save up to get the bumper cover painted first. But I do have the parts. I ordered them from KC over at the "other forum" http://forums.bradbarnett.net/member.php?u=4680 is a link to his profile. He was awesome to deal with. And yes they are OEM parts, not aftermarket.
There is alot of guys on there that have already done the conversions. Some look pretty good. My fav:

Were trying to get a wide body GT500 kit out in time for the SEMA show. So it should be interesting to see how that turns out. Figure in the long run it will look pretty similar to the GTR concept.
I'd be up for remanufacturing the hood because ford charging like 650+ for the unit. The market could do it for 450.00 in fiberglass.
