While that is kind of cool, I'm not one to impersonate. I would do all types of stuff to my car to make it look better but nothing that was truly defining as the GT-500(or cobra) such as the emblems of that new slanted bars on the grill which make you replace the lights and hood and all. Front bumber, ok. Spoiler, ok. But those other 2 are just way to defining as the GT-500. I'd rather be noticed for being a nice/unique looking GT than as a misrepresented cobra.

I'd rather use the money towards a supercharger than to be a poser shelby cobra wannabe[sm=gears.gif]

I'm sure a company(like Cervini's) will come out with a GT500-look kit. We've seen '93 Cobra kits for Fox Mustangs, 95 Cobra R hoods for SN95s, 2000 Cobra R hood/rear wing/side exhaust kits for New Edges, it only makes sense that a GT500 kit will surface for the S197s ($2900.00 is way too much for a hood/nose piece/rear bumper/chin and rear spoiler and 5 emblems). Sounds like a $1500.00 kit at most. I'd say wait, 'cause you'll be kicking yourself when a kit at half that price come to market.

RE: CHEAP>>>>Shelby GT 500
If I could get a Cobra priced reasonably I'd lose all emblems and stripes anyway. For such low $$$ I could see doing this to a GT, just for the heck of it. [You'd have the only Cobra with smooth, neat door panels] ...painted/smoothed mirrors, no decklid ornament or lock. One "smooth and curious" look that would have folks doing a double take and wondering, wtf?
