Default Centerforce dual friction.

Anyone have one?? The clutch went in Patty (at >8000 miles), and the dealer basically told me this one's on Ford, but it will be the last time, so if you want to buy a better replacement clutch, we will put it in. But not an aluminum flywheel version unless you want to pay for labor. So, I looked around and this seems to be the "best" direct replacement clutch out there for the $$$. Just looking for opinions.

They are pretty good in the other cars I have put them in (not mustangs). Nothing earth shattering though. But very leg freindly and they do work better than stock usually.

We did have an early one about 12 years ago that chattered in reverse horribly. It has gotten alot better but still is a bit chattery in reverse. Centerforce claimed it was a bad batch of lining and that they fixed the problem. They were willing to replace the clutch, but no labor. I didnt want to spend another couple nights on my back changing it.

Better than stock USUALLY? That makes me really glad I decided to pay for an upgrade rather than just having a Ford clutch put back in, lol.

Anyone else want to chime in??

I have one and I enjoy it. I haven't noticed any excess chatter. You will most definitely feel the difference over stock. But if I were you, I'd spring for their Light Metal Clutch.

Doesn't that require (or they "suggest) an aluminum flywheel?? I would have to pay for all the labor if I went with a different flywheel, if they have to replace the stock flywheel with another Ford unit, they can charge Ford for the labor. My dealership is awesome!!!!!
