RE: 60K 5year warranty on annonunced for 06's
I just bought a 2006 Screaming Yellow V6/5-speed today ... After filling out the paperwork the sales person hands me a paper saying I have good news ... your Mustang is covered by the new 5 YR / 60,000 mile Warranty at no extra cost ... The paper has my VIN on it and he had me sign it and makes me a copy.
While reading it I notice it says absolutely nothing about 2006 models on the paper he filled out. It indicates 2007 models only. After discussing this with salesperson and the finance manager another salesperson says no problem the paper just isn't updated ... I am covered. I had both the salesperson and Finance manager cross out the 2007 and change it to 2006 on the paper work and initial it indicating I have the extend warranty. This was a nice surprise ....

I think everyone that has a 2006 Stang needs to call the Ford Service number and express their concern about the warrenty issue.

For those that have purchased after July 14 and were advised of the warranty ....
Did your dealer fill out the traditional extended warranty paperwork and give it to you .... or did they say no paperwork was necessary?

No big deal. They will probably discount the remaining 06's less now with this warranty as a selling tool. It all evens out. If you negotiated a good deal on an earlier 06, chill out and use the money you saved on an extended warranty.
This is not going to help the Roush buyers, who are still limited by the 3 year s/c warranty.
