Hello. Dealer is stumped and trying their best to help me.

Long story short:
Took it in for a whine from the front end.
Partially rebuilt transmission.
Noise got worse.
Changed out rear gears based on service bullitin and Ford engineer suggestion.
Dealer offered to install what I wanted. Took them 3.73s (ones made by motive, M-4209-F3730 and LSD both Ford Racing.
Worse - Ford Engineers brought in. They said transmission had to be replaced and the gears were fine to drive with until I got it home.
It took a month for the transmission to come in and they nor I wanted it sitting on their lot.
I brought it home waiting for new transmission. While I had it home I installed BMR non adjustable LCAs. Dealer was cool with this.
Back to dealer
Transmission is replaced and fixed. Rear gears still screaming!
Dealer is changing shim to .23 and adding additional can of friction modifier.
Should have results of that Monday.
Service manager also mentioned that they had been shipped new revises 3.73s for the Rangers due to noise......

1) Is there any hope of them getting these to quit making noise or should I go ahead and order the new version?
2) Anyway the LCAs are making it worse?

Note: Been in and out of shop since April 22.....

Get the Ford gears.. problem solved on that one..

I have no noise at all from my rear gears.. 3.73 also ( but are Ford gears )

adding lube is a temp. fix IMHO.. but it is your car. and spending the money to make it

RIGHT is worth every single penny..
