MK2 Congrats on the FINEEEE looking car... ya know Spiffu I have a brand new 07 GT I also have a 06 C6 Vette and I love them Both BUT if I could afford a GT 500 also there would be one in my driveway but I cant. That is one fine car....Dont really care if the C6 can beat it or not. I like fast but I like a good looking car also..and that is one..

listen lets make a deal here ... i'll let you drive my mustang for 5 mins ... and then you let me drive your gt500 for 1 hour... or 1 day ...ohh and yeah dont forget my mustang is a v8 and it also has a sticker on it.. which im sure u will like to drive...

That is a sweet car, and the Shelby Gt500 is faster than the terminator and it's a driver race between it and a c6 corvette, people need to stop putting this beautiful and fast car down just b/c they can't afford it. I can't afford it either but i still love it

This has nothing to do with jealousy, I just think ford didn't do a proper job in building the GT500. They put a way too heavy engine (5.4 L cast iron block) in it combined with the super charger system, it weighs almost two tons. I think they should have gone the route of using the all alluminum 5.0 DOHC cammer engine from the grand am cars as originally planned. It would have made it cost more but I think the car would be a much better performer.
I'm sorry if this one opinion that is seeing past the looks of the car offends you guys. I'll try to be more shallow next time.
