Wait, youre wanting to swap out a 03-04 cobra motor with our motor? Why would you want to do that? The 03-04 cobras had iron blocks and were only rated for 8 psi.. theres people on this site running more boost than that in our aluminum one.. I would think it would just be better to SC our engine.. seems like youll get alot more HP out of ours than you will a cobra.

How much HP did HMS get out of theirs?

Dude, the block is forged, so is the crankshaft, connecting rods and pistons, that's going to hold boost a hell of a lot better than your aluminum block. Oh, and that 8 psi is stock boost, hardly what it can take once hooked up to proper levels of pressure.

Really? Its only rated at 8 psi..granted its iron so it would be better if you could crank it up but still... 8 psi max?

Check the edit, it's only 8 boost stock. It's capable of oh so much more.

O, I was under the impression that it was at around 4-5 psi stock with an 8 psi max.. at least thats what I read in a few mags awhile back.. Maybe I read wrong, or the mags were incorrect. My mistake... I always thought the earlier model cobras were more "able" but this changes a few things. Ive seen 01 cobras in the 800 hp range but all the 03-04 cobras Ive seen dont come anywhere near that.. has anyone really tried to push this motor then?
