They have staging lanes where you line your cars up. Ours has 8, the far left 2 lanes are for pro-stock cars, the middle 4 are for street cars and the far right 2 are for motorcycles. Once you all line up they do pro-stock first, then moto's then street cars. They call out your car and the car next to you and you pull from the staging lanes into the drag lanes. When you pull up to the tree, they have sensors in the road where you stop your car and when youre on both of them the 2 white lights at the top of the tree light up. When both cars have both white lights lit there are 3 yellow lights that fire one after the other and then a green light. If you jump the gun and leave the sensors before green the red light at the bottom goes off and you botched your run. After that it all goes by really fast...

Not bad for your first ride down the track. Work on your 60ft times and everything else will fall in to place.

Thanks, yeah I was trying to work on my launches because they just seemed so slow compared to everyone else. You could definately tell they had more experience there than me.
Im just getting used to it. What I was doing was holding the brake with my left foot and pushing on the gas with my right to rev the engine up and then just let off and slam it to the floor when the 3rd yellow lit up... is there a better way to launch or something I can get to help make this easier?? And whats good 60' times for our cars?

O.. and some local tv or website or some junk like that did an interview on me last night too lol.. I was standing there by my car with some friends letting her cool down before the next run and 3 dudes with cameras and a chick came up to me and asked if I was racing and if they could interview me lol. I was like..."Uh..... sure.."

Don't they let you heat up your tires first? The burnout pit is my favorite part. I'm going to Gainesville after I get my CAI and tune, hopefully it starts to cool off soon.
