GT500 first impression actually racing it
I decided to start a new thread about my Super Charger expereince with the GT500
I read a few articles about the C6 being a bit faster. All I can tell you is that once you get to know how to drive this car, it is a literal bat out of hell.

Today I raced my Shelby and at 5000 RPM the take off was astounding, I spun the wheels through 3rd.
The Mustang GT500 has quite a bit to offer if you learn how to drive it, frankly it is astounding for a car that weighs almost 4000 pounds.
I read a few articles about the C6 being a bit faster. All I can tell you is that once you get to know how to drive this car, it is a literal bat out of hell.

Certainly 4000 lbs is very heavy but if you've got the power to move it there's no reason it won't perform well. I friend of mine has a 1970 Chevy Monte Carlo with a 535 hp 568 ft lb tq 460" big block with 3.89 gears and a 700R4. It weighs almost exactly 4000 lbs and it is perfectly streetable yet runs high elevens.

i believe he does own at least the 3 cars in his pic. he created a post when he got the gt500 and had a pic of his driveway that showed at least the viper, gt500 and a couple suv's.
anyways it'll be good to see some real info on the 500 since there's been so much negativity (which seems to be some level of jealousy imo) towards it's actual performance.
