heavier wheels definitely cost hp, for reasons explained above.

sports car revolution on speed channel was tuning an acura a while back and they did a chip/intake and bigger wheels. there was no diff on the dyno b/t 100% stock and intake/chip b/c the rotational mass of the aftermarket wheels was > OEM, robbing them of any gains from the intake/chip. pretty wild.
