People have no respect

RE: People have no respect
I was eating at Taco Bell the other day, sitting in front of the window just staring when a Jeep pulls up right next to my stang. I immediately see how close she had parked next to my car and I'm just waiting for her to hit my car with her door. Sure enough, I see her swing her door open with her feet and it looked like it bounced right off my rear, close to the spoiler. Then the fatty hops out of her car with her friend and boyfriend. The temperature immediately went up 20 degrees.
I went outside to investigate but didnt see any dings.. at first. Throughout the next 15 minutes, my friends hooked up with my at the Taco Bell and they too were looking all over but didnt see any dents but then I get the right angle and I see the smallest ding. It was so small, hardly noticable.. but I was certain that lady caused it.
I stormed back inside and straight up told her "I think you hit my car with your door." She was very apologetic and believed me saying "Oh my god, I'm sorry! You want my insurance?"
I was trying to be nice, I'm no jackass, so I told her.. "lets go out and open your door to see if it matches up with the dent. Oddly enough, when we open the door, it doesn't match up with the edge of the Jeep. I apologize for bothering her.. but now I'm mad that someone got away with dinging my car. [:@]

RE: People have no respect
About 5 years ago I had bought a new F150 and had to go to the grocery store. Truck had about 100 miles on it and I had parked in the last spot and next to that was a lane for vehicles arriving and leaving so no one should have parked on my right side.
At least 40 spaces to the left of my truck and wouldn’t you know it some dumb chit parks on the right side of my truck IN THE F’n lane for vehicles to drive in and out and puts a ding in my door.
I am usually a very mellow and patient person but not that day. So I paid the turd back and ran my key down the complete side of their vehicle I didn’t even care if anyone had seen me I was that mad. I felt better and slept very well that night knowing the tool would either be driving around with a ”look at me I am a moron” stripe down the side of their vehicle or paying some serious cash to repaint the entire side of their vehicle. I did a good job all the way down to metal, the turd was NOT going to buff that damage out…

RE: People have no respect
I was sitting in my car w/ my g/f in the parking garage at Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, and some old fart (I'm talking 80+) pulls up beside me in his Grand Marquis. He proceeds to throw his door open directly into my passenger side door. It hit so hard it rocked my car. I got out, and said, "Excuse me sir, you just hit my car with your door." He looked at me, turned around, and walked away. I said (a little louder) "Excuse me sir!" It then escalated to, "Hey A**HOLE!" Which he still ignored. I looked at my passenger door, and it had a NICE ding in it, even with his paint on it. I took his license number, and wrote it down, called the police who came and did a report. After the cops left, I took my key, and proceeded to trace a nice line the ENTIRE way around his car. The I put a big "X" on his hood, and wiped spit on all his windows.
Now, don't get me wrong. I honestly don't usually do that. I have far too much respect for my car, other people, and other people's cars. The problem here was that the hold man saw a "kid" (I was about 20 at the time) in a "cheap" car (I had an Escort ZX2), and just thought he'd pay no attention since I'm sure he had plenty of money for dent repair. But I was already fighting with my g/f (nothing new with that one), and he just caught me on the wrong day. You show no respect, you get no respect...end of story.

And I give you an A+ in being an A$$hole yourself. You just lowered yourself well beyond that old geezer, even if he caught you on a bad day you have absolutely no right or excuse doing $hit like that.

RE: People have no respect
What was I supposed to do, grab him? And you think the cops would believe the story at all if a 20 year old grabbed an 80 year old, and "detained" him? Good thinking.
Yeah, it did make me an a-hole, and I admit it. I was young(er) and stupid(er) then. I would never do it now. Now I would leave a note on his car telling him what happened, and that I took his plate number, and he would be hearing from my insurance company.

RE: People have no respect
I spend most of my time working in a parking lot and see this s*** all the time. The people have to wedge their car in between two cars instead of parking one space down and have all the room that they needed. I lost count of how many times I have seen old people throw open the doors on their cadillac right into the person's car next to them. If I see this happen, I will tell the other driver the license plate of the car that hit them. I usually tend to watch out for the stangs a little more than the other cars.
