Ok, so they look nice, and It was a very imformitive video to give us the consumer a "glimpse" of what they have to deal with in producing a new car, but, I'm assuming it has a CAI and suspension upgrades, and the Shelby name on it. Is that it or is there more to this car, that will make me or anyone want to trade up from our GT's ?

It's a Lazy Tuner. Joe Everybody can walk into the dealer and get the same stuff us enthusiasts get and just write it onto the financing plan and not have to deal with installation.

Cool video. They're trying to reduce the amount of time it takes to reconfigure a vehicle, but it doesn't seem like a lot has been changed from a standard GT. Ford needs to reduce that time in order to compete with some of the foreign manufacturers though.

I agree but soon, they are going to be dealing with the Camaro and the Challenger. Having watched that video they better have a N/A 400 bhp engine in the works that will come standard and be able to compete with these new boys. Otherwise, say goodbye to the Mustang craze and one again, ford will come in last. [:@]

Why doesnt ford expand their car line with different cars?? Bring the FPV Falcon, Fiesta, and many other over seas goodies... like the 4 door ranger!! I would so buy one in a heart beat... i think the colorado needs competition... just my IMO.. arent you guys tired of seeing different versions of our mustang... its like if you buy a Roush stage 3 Mustang... then BOOM! the GT500 comes out.. you just wasted all your money buying a Roush, when you can have a more powerful GT500 for a little more.. no offense to those who own Roush's.. I love Roush just as much as the next guy, but its what makes their product so much better.. because its something the factory doesnt offer it... Most of us nowdays want to own something that nobody else has...

BTW GM is going under, we all know that.. the new Silverado looks too Scion ish for a work truck... GOOD LUCK CAMARO!

Development of new vehicles takes a lot of money, and one thing Ford definitely does not have in abundance is money. The Mustang is the only homerun they've had in many years and they are going to understandably try and milk it for all it's worth.

There's more info on the Shelby GT here:

http://forums.bradbarnett.net/forumdisplay.php?f=121

So far it has been coldly received by enthusiasts.

There are also quite a few pics and even a video of it here:
