Well sarcasm is hard to detect over the internet unless it is blatent, I wouldn't say that to anyone in a joking manner unless I knew them very well already. Common courtesy goes a long ways and is unfortunately all too uncommon in today's society.

So you wouldn't mind if some random person walked up to you and called you a fool? I didn't say it is that bad of a word, but regardless to call someone a fool is an insult. I just said that he should show the same courtesy that others have shown him. But, I am going to drop this discussion now.
