MacDaddy,

Does Ford really cares about greedy dealers pushing potential customers to other brands, I've been trying to buy a GT500 cash, willing to go 2-3K above MSRP, but no Texas dealer willing to sell, they all want 10K+ What a joke.

Even if the straight forward pricing no rebates applies, now does that address dealers w/ greedy ADM charges...

Does Ford even really cares, or even try to get a handle on the ADMs that gives them a bad public opinion, no wonder they're in the financial situation they're in...
I understand your frustration, but I don't understand how a dealership holding out for more money will hurt their financial situation. If anything, it will bring in additional profit. If you're willing to pay $2-3k above sticker, and someone else will pay $10k above sticker, how does that hurt them? Unless you are implying they won't get more than $2-3k above sticker from anyone else?

My whole thing with the prices they are charging for the new "shelbys" isn't just cost-to-speed ratio, it's also the fact that ford plans to produce more GT500s than they did they 03-04 cobras. With a name like shelby I expect exclusivity, not to look up the street and find my neighboor with one. Its an nice stang and I'd love to drive on but I don't think I'd buy it. I would dare pay 75k for a car that wil depreciate to 30k in six years just to be a victim of the first year glichtes. But then again I'm not rich so I can say these things. As far as the Shelby GT, if they can stick to 34k and keep production low I guess its an alright deal, but there is no real shelby performance here. Just looks I could build at home by myself.

Have you tried ordering one online ??? Wait might be longer, but should save you a few thousand dollars, considering the huge markups dealer are doing.....

Public opinion of Ford dealers has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Ford's current financial state. It has alot more to do with getting relevant, exciting products to the public, and over-reliance on gas-guzzling truck sales for profits. That is why GM is doing even worse than Ford. Actually Ford is turning the corner...They are accelerating the "Way Forward" plan, Ford stock has gone up over 30% in the last month and a half, they are releasing MANY new exciting products in the next few months....
